The effect of cyberloafing behaviors on smartphone addiction in university students: The mediating role of fear of missing out

With the increase in smartphone use, addiction has gained immense popularity and there been a lot of research into addiction. Nonetheless, examining complex relationships between cyberloafing is still insufficient. Thus, present study aims to establish mediating role fear missing out, which cognitive emotional process, effect university students’ level upon their level. The group represented by 338 students receiving formation training faculty education, at state university. For purpose data collection, Smartphone Addiction Scale - Short version, Cyberloafing Scale, Fear Missing Out were used. model was tested using structural equation modeling bootstrapping. Structural results provide evidence indirect effects on partial mediated out. According Bootstrapping method, out an indirectly significant relationship findings emphasized explaining concludes discussing relevant conclusions literature, putting forth several recommendations based these conclusions.
